1) Wipe out but in a cool-looking position⁠
2) Photoshop the ground out of the shot it so it looks like you're pulling a sick trick in mid-air⁠

I love me a good national park, but there are always a select few with utter disregard for the rules, who risk ruining it all for future visitors. Ahead of going to @canyonlandsnps, I read up on a trail to False Kiva, which was closed after some clowns vandalized it in 2018.⁠

On the trail leading up to Mesa Arch is an obvious sign that says not to walk on top of the arch. Look top left in this photo, there's an idiot kid. What do you think he was on his way to do, as his parents looked on and sister followed?⁠

Walk across the top of the arch.⁠

UGH. Don't be (or allow your children to be) the reason why everyone else can't have nice things.⁠

I recently joined TikTok out of a blend of boredom

I recently joined TikTok out of a blend of boredom & curiosity. So far what I've gotten out of it is a few chuckles, a sore scrolling thumb and the newfound knowledge that skinny jeans & side parts are a signal to the YOUTHS that I'm ancient.⁠

Seeing that my helmet and snow pants hide my age, how about I just let my face show it. When I took this photo I had just finished a huge project at work to signal the start of some PTO I was desperate for, so I raced up to the summit for a snack, a drink, and some Vitamin D. ⁠
⁠
I was so stoked to get the reflection of the mountain view in my goggles, but I admittedly cringed when I first checked this photo on my camera roll. I was too busy focusing on my pores and the lines around my eyes.⁠

Shame on me for letting something completely out of my hands like the opinions of strangers and the CONCEPT OF TIME get in my head.⁠

Who cares what some random strangers on the internet think. Part your hair however the hell you want. Wear whatever pants make you feel confident. How many times have we not (or almost not) posted something online because we were worried about what strangers would think?⁠

My friends and family love me for my jokes, not my tired ol' face. 😏⁠

Alright audience, time to participate. Even though March was two weeks ago, March is also less than two weeks from now.⁠

Optimistic for 2021, I signed up for RnR in San Diego this June, but received the news this week that the race has been postponed to a TBD date in the fall. The next thing I've got officially on the calendar is SeaWheeze, but who knows if Americans will be able to enter Canada if the race takes place.⁠
⁠
That downer stuff said, now I'm back at square one in trying to figure out what my spring goal should be. Speed is tough for me to work on without fellow competitors on a race course, but distance challenges seem to work for me.⁠

My current longest run ever sits at 16 miles, and now my silly brain is starting to wander up to things like 30K or 26.2. ⁠

Am I the only one starting to lose their marbles in absence of in-person races happening? What is everyone else doing to keep their head on screwed straight?

Last week, I participated in a 4-day snowboarding clinic for intermediate/advanced level riders, and somehow I still managed for my instructor to drag my arse to the bunny hill on Day 1 for some flat boarding and one foot out drills. ⁠
