My name is Katy, and when I'm not busy trying to talk myself out of new activewear I don’t need, I like to jet all over the country, run half marathons, do CrossFit, tinker with my GoPro and eat snacks.

Hey friends! Time for a little run life update: Th Hey friends! Time for a little run life update: These photos are the immediate After, and the AFTER After of 3 random miles this afternoon. I'll let you sleuths decide which one is which.⁠ ⁠ In typical self-destructive fashion, this run was done on about 4h of sleep, 2 coffees, 1 mini meal and half a day at 35,000 feet. ⁠ ⁠ It's fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine. Not really.⁠ ⁠ I realize that I've not been consistently showing up in the IG grid, so anyone who mainly consumes my run content on this platform instead of the clock app may not know that my leg hurts, and I'm in the middle of doing a big ol' palliative shoe experiment.⁠ ⁠ Training for the @nycmarathon is due to begin in about a month, and I'm lollygagging over here with some posterior tibial ouch. I've been experimenting with different drop shoes, icing after every run, trying to remember to do my PT exercises... I even TOOK A WEEK OFF (!!!) to try and calm it down.⁠ ⁠ I'm not sure if it will clear up entirely in the next month, but I so badly want to be able to run worry free again. All appendages are crossed at this point.⁠ ⁠ So... if you need me, I'll be over here throwing spaghetti at the wall for the next month trying to make the pain go *poof*

Today, I popped by @lululemon to get a rogue secur Today, I popped by @lululemon to get a rogue security tag removed from an online order. I walked out with the larkspur Define Jacket, and I’d do it again. 😌 #ad #thesweatlife #lululemon #definejacket
SQUAWWWK! That's flaminguese for "Carl the Flaming SQUAWWWK! That's flaminguese for "Carl the Flamingo has agreed to officially associate HIS brand with MY face" 🤩⁠ ⁠ Truth be told, I let out and audible "WOO!" when the email came through that I was selected as one of the lucky ones named to the 2022 @rungoodr Flamboyance. (Let's pay no mind to the rejection email that came in 15min before the acceptance. Carl's IT department put us on a little bit of a roller coaster ride.)⁠ ⁠ I'll always spend the oxygen any chance I can get to tell anyone who asks about the $25 polarized no-slip @goodr awesomeness that's on my face... but now we're instagram official. 🥰

First 10K in forty two (!!!) days. Marking the Str First 10K in forty two (!!!) days. Marking the Strava badge-winning occasion with an in-feed post because I’ve been out of the running game for a bit. I’ve been fighting with myself on how/when to get back into running a bazillion miles a week, and if I’ll truly be able to juggle learning the new job and training a full marathon later this year. One mile (whether it’s running or traveling) at a time.
First day on snow this season! Cold Katy was also First day on snow this season! Cold Katy was also a very happy Katy 🥶🤩🏂❄️ Blue skies beckoned, and with the 10° temps, I hoped the hill wouldn’t be too crowded. Playing SkiFree was fun time on my parents computer in 1992, but dodging people all over the place IRL not so much. The exhaustive list of layers it took not to freeze today: - @athleta Rainier Tight - @burton Gloria Pant - @lululemon Down For It All Jacket & Swiftly Tech LS - @aetherapparel Polartec Cowl Pullover - @arcteryx Incendia One Piece - @blackstrap Balaclava AND Tube - Heated Gloves 10 runs done, not a single wipeout. All that lesson time in @aspensnowmass last season paid off!
