Despite the serial swift kicks in the pants that work, life and Mother Nature all tried to deal me all at once… I did it. Last Sunday, I finished the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon. I’ve been poring over a laundry list of how I want to recap the weekend, and it’s overwhelming. Here’s a little post race cheese.
So the race is over, hockey is back in session, and it’s time to get my life back on track to feel a little more normal. ‘Normal’ Tuesdays mean poring over new beauties at lululemon and trying to figure out why my money tree isn’t growing so I can buy it all.
5 Faves & a Dud: 11/15/22 Edition
Favorite #1: Wunder Puff Jacket in Pomegranate
I’m sh*t out of valid excuses why I need more winter jackets in the arsenal, but it’s snowing outside for the first time this season. That has to count for something.
Favorite #2: Base Pace Ribbed Tank Top in Psychic
Loving the Base Pace this summer, and it’s great to move into the gym or onto the Peloton bike in the winter. The slim fit stays out of the way, and the fabric somehow feels thick yet lightweight all at the same time. I can’t stop rubbing it whenever I wear it. That’s what she said?
Favorite #3: lululemon Align™ High-Rise Pant 28″ in Pomegranate
I’m not historically a sucker for a matching set, but it’s never too late to start… amirite?
Favorite #4: Keep the Heat Thermal Tight 27″ in Smoked Spruce
This is 100% pandering to the audience. Nate’s favorite color is dark green, and thermal screams “WEAR ME ON THE COUCH WHILE THE FIRE IS GOING” – so I kind of have to go for these, right?
Favorite #5: Swiftly Relaxed-Fit Long Sleeve Shirt in Green Jasper
I’ve gotten a ton of mileage out of my Deep Marine, Laguna and Night Diver Swiftlies, so while I’m not sure I need to add this shade to my collection – I know that those who do will get a lot of mileage out of it.
The Dud: Scuba Oversized Fleece Funnel Neck
Jacquard in Liquidize Camo Jacquard Ancient Copper True Navy
Who vacuumed up Cookie Monster & the Ewoks dressing rooms (I’m mixing franchises, I know) to come up with the material for this one?
Did You Sea That?
On the bus to the NYC Marathon start line, I passed by an establishment on 7th Avenue called “Legasea” – which is the word lululemon used to describe the select few runners who had run every single SeaWheeze Half Marathon. I took it as a sign that my running coach, Joanna, a SW Legasea was there for me while I prepared to run the biggest race of my life.
Welp, if anyone caught the Members Only drop on the app last week… SeaWheeze came around again.
