Lululemon Fit Review: Align High Neck Tank & Track That MR Short 5″

I’ve got a couple store trips worth of fitting room photos pent up, so prepare yourself for a flurry of reviews!

Sizing Notes: I’m 5’9″ – in lululemon, I am a TTS 8 on top and a 10 on the bottom.

lululemon Align™ High-Neck Tank Top ($68) shown in Pastel Blue

Opted to give this one a try seeing that this particular shopping trip was the first time I’d seen the tank in store.

Wearing a TTS 8 this time. The regular Align Tank I’ll gravitate toward a 10 to avoid the dreaded quad boob, but that’s a non issue here.

TL:DR

Likes: High neck, flattering look in front, fabric.
Dislikes: I don’t love a plain scoop style in back
Sizing: Tight but TTS
Did I buy it? No
Why Not? Tried it on just for fun, pastel blue generally isn’t my “in yo face” aesthetic. TBH I’ve been eyeballing a few brighter colors (ahem charged indigo & sonic pink).

Track That Mid-Rise Lined Short 5″ ($68) shown in Love Red

To me, they look aesthetically similar to the FP Movement Way Home Short. The waist may not be quite as high, but I liked that the waistband is thicker and gives way to a roomy fit in the legs.

I stuck with my TTS 10 here. I would have loved an extra inch or two of rise, but they are technically “Mid” – so I can’t say I wasn’t warned. 8.5/10 on the rise, 10/10 on the color and surprisingly flattering view from the back.

The inseam is on the longer side at 5″, but given my height I will take every inch I can get.

TL:DR

Likes: Roomy fit, gathered waistband
Dislikes: None.
Sizing: Just right.
Did I buy it? Eventually, yes. I tried to exercise self control in store, ultimately caved and ordered them maybe 2 weeks later. We are very happy together.

  1. I recently tried the track that 5” and loved them too. I didn’t buy in store but found an older pair on eBay. I tried the 3” a few months ago and they’re too high on the side, the cellulite-friendly part of my leg. Plus I’m nearing 38, so 5” is more my speed these days 😎
