The Fitting Room: Anahatasana Long Sleeve Tee

lululemonReviews

Alright, this review is especially pertinent given the fact that the Anahatasana Long Sleeve Tee is currently marked down online to $49, aka FINAL SALE for those of you who aren’t able to pop into a store and make your purchase in person.

The Fitting Room: Anahatasana Long Sleeve Tee

THE FIT: I concur with lulu’s website on this one. The fit is slim, it probably just looks a little roomier on me, seeing that I opted to try on a 10 that day. I tend to lean towards 10’s in long sleeves, thanks to my giant CrossFit shoulders.

LENGTH: I’m happy to report the length is perfect for the tall ladies of the world. A CRB will still peek out underneath, but it would definitely be long enough to wear on its own.

POCKET SITUATION: No secret pockets. Sorry.

DETAILS: I’m often frustrated that some of the lulu long sleevers have thumbholes, but the sleeves are too short for anyone with long arms to enjoy. Scuba Hoodie III, Under Wraps Pullover I am looking at you. Thankfully, the thumbholes and sleeve length on the Anahatasana LS passed the test!

Take note that the scoop neck is cut a little low in front. This could be a good or bad thing, depending on your personal style. I’d deem it a casual win, but wouldn’t be wearing it to the office or church without a scarf.

THE VERDICT: I liked the fit and softness of this one, and had been waiting for it to get marked down for months. When I tried it on, it was still going for full price. I didn’t want to pay that much for a blue color that ended up being underwhelming in real life.

If you are lacking a soft basic LS in your life to throw with skinny jeans and boots, the Anahatasana Long Sleeve would definitely be a good add to your wardrobe. Given that plain LS shirts and skinny jeans are essentially my fall/winter wardrobe, I opted to save my $ this time around.

It would also make excellent pajamas. Slightly expensive, yet excellent.
