I’ve already fallen off the lulu wagon for one Tuesday, I can’t let it back up and run me over for a second week in a row. Let’s see what’s going on in the Land of Luon!

5 Faves & a Dud – 7/18/17 Upload

Favorite #1: Scuba Hoodie IV ($118) in dark adobe

Two words: contrasting zipper. Could have knocked it out of the park with rose gold hardware, but I guess we can’t win it all, can we?

Favorite #2: Go Lightly Rucksack ($128) in heathered black

Is it me, or are rucksacks enjoying a resurgence in popularity lately? I’m feeling the matte fabric and the structured design. Wondering if I should trade in my Urbanite Backpack (a la 2016) for something more like this. Hmmm…

Favorite #3: Tight Stuff Tight II ($148) in low tide alpine white black

Well, bananas. This is the first time I’ve actually seriously considered dropping the full price on a pair of Tight Stuffs. The perpendicular stripes, yo. They’re calling my name.

Favorite #4: Wunder Under Hi-Rise 7/8 Tight ($98) in low tide blush berry black

Here’s the great thing about this pattern… it’s got the same flattering effect, but no worries about perfect stripe alignment. Well played, lulu. Well played.

Favorite #5: Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve Crew ($78) in submarine

Maybe this is the 2 margaritas from dinner going to work in my brain, but for some reason I am staring at the price tag on Swiftly LS’s and having a brief moment of clarity that $80 after tax is a lot to pay for a freaking shirt. This color would still be a dream with a late summer tan.

Why does expensive taste have to cost so much?

The Dud: Reveal 7/8 Tight ($118)

As if I didn’t already turn the wrench to the right in an effort to loosen a bolt at work today, I just wrote that header as “Favorite #6”. Nice work, Katy.

The only thing these pants would reveal would be my underthings, which I generally don’t want to be on display. Mmmkay?
