Fit Review: lululemon Softstreme Ribbed-Hem Pullover

lululemonReviews

Despite the ability to return WMTM for credit, here’s a little intel from the fitting room a few weeks ago in case you’re on the fence.

Sizing Notes: I’m 5’9″ – in lululemon, I am a TTS 8 on top and a 10 on the bottom.

Softstreme Ribbed-Hem Pullover ($69/WMTM) in Black

I’m always game for a simple cut that will accentuate my waist, hence why I opted to give this one a go. This is a true-to-size 8 in the photos below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Softstreme, heads up that “Black” is actually more of a very dark gray. I had no reason to believe the sizing would be off, because 9x out of 10 I can bet the house an 8 will be perfect on me. Not this time. The sleeves are a very odd length, and as soon as I lifted my arms, it was proven that I would need to layer a tank top underneath.

As seen in the stock photo below: the collar, sleeve openings and bottom portion of this piece are not Softstreme, and didn’t feel nearly as comfortable as the Softstreme itself. It looked alright on me, but not as roomy as the model makes it look.

TL:DR

Likes: … *crickets*
Dislikes: The sleeves are WAY too short
Sizing: Neck & shoulders TTS, but sleeve length & torso length are short. IMHO, runs small.
Did I buy it? No
Why Not? This piece isn’t meant for taller women, and that’s exactly what I am.

  1. Same! This was a miss for me. It’s definitely not for a taller person. It looks cute on Leslie (if you follow petiteimpact) though.
