By the Numbers: 2023 NYC Marathon Training · Week 8

Data & GraphsNYC MarathonRunningTraining Logs

One last hurrah at home with all my outfits and all my shoes before it’s time for the annual month long pilgrimage to the US Open!

Week 8 of 19: Overview

Bye bye Bristol, Hello New York

It’s about that time to be that time… to shove all my activewear into a suitcase (or 3) and head on down to Queens to run on incredibly flat promenades and dodge rats for the next few weeks. Yay!

Highs and Lows of the Week

For someone who can run a whole ass marathon without headphones, 32 seconds on a treadmill is torture to me. Needless to say the Drop Week long run and slimy gross treadmill work were easy picks.

Hyperfocus of the Week: OMFG Time on Feet

I’ve been super consistent with running while at home, but I did *not* factor in how much time I’d also be spending on my feet as I went back to work for the first time in almost 3 months.

By the end of the week, it was the first time that I truly felt GASSED.
