5 Faves & a Dud: Can You See Me Now?

5 Faves & a Dudlululemon

One of my many talents is being SUPER late to the party when it comes to TV series and movies. In a brain melting move, I’ve only recently begun to watch Selling Sunset on Netflix, and I cannot bring myself to stop. Some of these cat fights are total train wrecks, but I can’t look away.

Season One: What does Davina even do aside from stir the pot?

I just finished Season One, and need to step back from the stiletto fest and talk about lululemon’s closest thing to a 2014 Savasana Camo sequel: Heritage 365 Camo Green Twill Multi Speed Up Shorts. They’ll cost you a lot less money than a listing with the Oppenheim Group.

5 Faves & a Dud: 11/10/20 Edition

Favorite #1: Invigorate High-Rise Crop 23″ ($118) in Heritage 365 Camo Green Twill Multi

Ooooooh, if I had known this print was going to happen in Invigorates, I wouldn’t have splurged on Dark Olive last month. Hey hot stuff.

CAVEAT: These photos pretty obviously show the 25″ inseam TIGHT, but the item listed is the CROP. If you go ahead and order these, beware that the inseam is going to be shorter than the stock photos show. The Tight isn’t available on the US website yet.

Favorite #2: Free To Be Serene Bra Long Line ($58) in Watermelon Red

Last week was all about the watermelon red knits, as far as snowstorm accessories go. This week? One bra is better no additional pieces. Still hoping for more in coming weeks. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Favorite #3: Speed Up Short Long 4″ Updated Fit ($58) in Heritage 365 Camo Green Twill Multi/Green Twill

The Incognito Camo Speed Ups missed the mark with the black waistband, but here we are with the closest thing to the 2014 sellout Savasana Camo Speed Shorts. I see them marked up all the time 6 years later, and there ain’t no way in the world I’m selling my pair. These are an excellent doppelganger for those of you who missed out or are in need of a “backup”.

Favorite #4: Keep it Cozy Dress ($138) in Graphite Grey

Once a year in early fall, everyone needs to take inventory of their closet and make sure they’ve got a plain shirt/sweater dress to go with black Aligns when all other outfit inspiration fails.

If you don’t already have a dress that fits that description, consider this one. Also available in Spiced Bronze and Heathered Core Ultra Light Grey.

Favorite #5: Align Pant II 25″ ($98) in Deep Fuschia

Totally here for Deep Fuschia! I pulled the trigger on the submarine Wunder Trains over the weekend, so I need to slow my roll on the gem tones. These are captivating.

The Dud: Wunder Lounge High-Rise Tight 28″ Crushed Velvet ($118) in Soft Cranberry

There are so many things on this earth that are a good idea, and these tights aren’t one of them.

Can You See Me Now?

I mean you can’t see any of this stuff because it’s camo.

These Are My Quarantine Christmas Joggers 🎄

Why so much crushed velvet? The only thing I can think of is that lululemon is leaning hard into the fact that nobody will be traveling for the holidays thanks to lockdown 2.0, and we’re all going to need our fancy velvet joggers for the Zoom holiday parties.

So. Much. Crushed. Velvet.

Anyone else feeling like it’s approaching Juicy Couture tracksuit vibes just a *smidge* too closely?

Aside from all the camo, I’m sitting on my hands this week. Technically. It was Saturday when I went in on the Submarine Wunder Trains and the black Rogue Renegade Hoodie that resurfaced on WMTM.

  1. I am surprised that they came out with all the velvet again this year–they STILL have last years velvet WUs on WMTM!

  2. The crushed velvet is bad, especially the pink/nude look. I looked at reviews for the ones on wmtm, and they mention creases and wrinkles forming in embarrassing spots while sitting in them. Yikes!! The velour look seems to resurface every 8-10 years, so I guess it’s about time!!

I bought the deep fuschia aligns. I’ve been waiting for them. I really hope the color IRL matches how pretty it is online. If it is, I may cave and buy it in the pricey, regular looking sweatshirt I swore I wouldn’t spend $100+ on.

The watermelon red hat also fell into my cart. Couldn’t let the aligns travel alone, right?

  3. Lol at the Davina meme. Isn’t she so ughhh! Eww no to all crushed velvet. I will hold out for the camo 25” invigorates and intrigued by soft cranberry swiftly tank. Hoping for LS or SS.

  4. I had my fun with crushed velvet in 1998 and tried again last year with non-crushed; will respectfully leave it alone this time around. I’m also having the same issue where I would pay $$$ for more reflective stuff but am only getting camo in return (and reduced reflective bits on some of the new Fast & Free tights).

    1. Usually it’s right about this time of year that some sort of high-vis capsule drops – fingers crossed maybe that’s what’s up lulu’s sleeve tomorrow or next week! I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

    1. I was a poor college kid at the time, so I was rocking a chocolate brown velour track suit from Old Navy back in 2006. Woof. TBH I got a lot of mileage out of the zip hoodie for a bar jacket, because Syracuse likes to go from 100-0 on the thermometer real effin quick.
