5 Faves & a Dudlululemon

Earlier today, I was brainstorming how I wanted to start this week’s post off. I landed on 33 days. I was going to start this post by patting myself on the back for not having made any lululemon purchases in 33 days. Look at my self control and I, being fiscally responsible.

Then, this week’s upload happened. Nobody needs a shopping cart that totals $868 but here I am. Decisions must be made.

5 Faves & a Dud: 2/11/20 Edition

Favorite #1: Down For it All Jacket ($198) / Down For it All Vest ($148) in Wild Bluebell

Sometimes, you’ve got to go FULL PRICE when there’s something you love. When I saw this BEAUTIFUL color upload, my jaw dropped. Yes, I already own a DFIA. But I love this color, and snowboard season is not over yet.

Despite the fact that this one will likely get marked down… I’ve got the heart-eyed ski goggles on and if not the jacket, at least a vest must be mine.

Favorite #2: Cool Racerback Shorter *Nulu ($48) in Diamond Dye Pitch Grey Graphit Grey

What’s more remarkable than a 33-day no lulu streak for a lulu blogger is that it’s very likely I snap my 3.5 YEAR “no new CRB” streak since they introduced the CRB II in 2016.

Go figure the whole reason I didn’t give in to the new cut was a slightly shorter length. With the increasing popularity in higher rise tights, I’m finding that some of my beloved OG CRB’s actually have a bit too much fabric overlap for my current outfit preferences. I used to live in Speed Shorts when I was CrossFitting 5x a week, but now I’m more often found in tights.

The Chambray Race Length CRB is sold out in most sizes, so there’s definitely a market for this. I’m giving it a shot.

Favorite #3: Speed Up Short *2.5″ ($58) in Wild Bluebell

So there may or may not be an aesthetic theme emerging with my top 5 picks this week, and it’s a Backstreet Boys album name from 2000: Black & Blue.

No WB in the longer inseam option yet, but I will be keeping my eyes peeled in coming weeks.

Favorite #4: Invigorate Bra ($52) in Incognito Camo Multi Grey

I felt a little guilty putting an Energy Bra into my cart given that I have been wearing a black savasana camo for years. If I at least change it up to a new core style, said guilt fades.

Favorite #5: Swiftly Tech Short Sleeve 2.0 ($68) in Black/White/Black

Curious about what the updates are, aside from losing the omega design in front. Despite the fact that it’s far from short sleeve season in my neck of the woods, I love me a good horizontal-striped anything. This one has caught my attention.

The Dud: Full Day Ahead Shirt ($98)

It annoys me to see this shirt still being uploaded and priced at $98. I was over the moon to see lululemon’s attempt at a dressier shirt a few months ago, so I raced to the store to hunt one down. [Fitting Room Photos]

It was such a total bust. The sleeves are too short, and it’s so billowy in the back. I wanted to love it, but I couldn’t. I wasn’t the only one who this design fell short on, they quickly ended up on WMTM as low as $39.

This shirt is like the word “fetch”.

Honorable Mention

I still haven’t figured out how to grow a money tree, so while I want these items in my closet, it’s going to take an assist from WMTM or a total lapse in judgement to make it happen.

Is Diamond Dye a Girl’s Best Friend?

Unsure, but lululemon went all in on the Align lineup with a cloudy marbly vibe this week. Diamond Dye Stargaze Pitch Grey if you want to get all technical on me.

Anything Else Before I Go?

Yes. This stuff. Also not in my shopping cart, but it may end up in yours. 🙂

Okay, I’m done now. Back to the BIG DECISION at hand: to sleeves or not to sleeves?

I want a Wild Bluebell Down For it All and I want it now! // Violet Beauregard, probably, if lululemon had a store in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory

  1. I am hoping for more Bluebell color too! Trackers, CRB and Swiftly would’ve nice. I have been waiting for the shorter CRB to come back but was hoping for black 🙁

  2. Okay, Wild Bluebell – lookin’ cuuuute! I *almost* pulled the trigger on the camo Invigorate Bra yesterday, but I just don’t love it…and can’t explain why not. That bra is my ride or die. Passing up Dark Red and now this? Who have I become?

I got the Cut Back Crop Tank I ordered last week, and it’s going back. That means I still have my 2-purchases-a-month-allowance!

    1. I don’t know – but we all go through phases of SPEND IT ALL and meh not so much 🙂

What didn’t you love about the Cut Back? It reminds me of the OG Sculpt, so I’m considering it.

      1. Even in a size down, it’s too relaxed-fitting for me. I usually wear my skin-tight Swiftly Racerbacks, so I’m used to – and prefer – that fit. Normally, I would just keep it, but I’m trying to be strict with myself this year and not keep anything I don’t absolutely love. If you like the Sculpt Tank’s fit, I think you’ll like it, though!

  3. As soon as I saw the DFIA jacket in the blue, I thought of you! You need! Really liking the magenta glow colour too! I wish I could exercise in light coloured crops/ pants, but it shows too much sweat!

  4. I’m going to be the voice of dissent here. Yes, the jacket is a beautiful blue. But you already own one in a different beautiful blue. (I wanted the video, it looks fantastic on you!) Now I understand owning the same bra or tank top in different colors, but those are items that are worn often. A down jacket is worn during a limited time of the year. I’d take the jacket out of the cart.

Notice I didn’t say anything about the vest…

    1. I’ve tried to wear other vests in the past, but I always go back to my black one which is a hot 5+ years old at this point.

I have to come clean… I pulled the trigger on the jacket and it arrives this week! 😬

      1. Honestly you made the right decision then. That blue is you! I bought it in Adobe thanks to you and it is a great jacket. Just hoping the zipper holds up

  5. Have you tried on the Wunder train 25”? Does it fit TTS? Is the camo print printed on white on the inside or a darker color? Thanks!!!
