As we all know, lululemon goes heavy on the first upload of the month. This week’s excitement most notably introduces a “Contour Fit” variation of the Wunder Train Tight & Shorts at several lengths, so I’m going to touch on that first.

What is lululemon’s Contour Fit?

Per lululemon, Contour Fit is “Snug support in the waistband, more room through the hips and thighs. Embrace your strength in this curve-hugging new fit, available in Wunder Train.”

Contour Fit has even shown up as an additional column on the official size chart, and the size 10 measurements are now a lot closer to my ACTUAL body measurements. With Contour Fit, the waistband is 0.5″ smaller, and there is 1.75″ more allowance in the hips across the board. The only exception is a size 6, with the waist listed a full inch smaller, at 26″ instead of 27″

I’ve seen a ton of feedback on how the Wunder Train Shorts’ seams really dig into women’s thighs. I’m glad to see that lululemon is taking that “I feel like a sausage” feedback and making improvements. I’m excited to hunt a pair down give them a try. I was thinking about a no buy April after the March landslide but… RESEARCH AMIRITE?

Favorite #1: Align™ High-Rise Crop 21″ in Poolside

The 21″ inseam may not be my first choice, but color trumps cut. This is the only Align item released in Poolside this week, which is giving major Amalfi Blue.

I envision if this ever comes out in an Align Tank, it will be COVETED. Hell, if it comes out in a high-neck version, even I may bite. Fingers crossed for more next week.

Favorite #2: Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Softstreme in Peach Satin

Little did I know that one uncharacteristic Spiced Chai Swiftly would eventually lead me to buying (and loving) Mink Berry Blissfeels… and now this. Another muted pink-ish item. WHO AM I?!

Favorite #3: Track That Mid-Rise Lined Short 5″ in Love Red

I’ve admittedly peeped over at Free People’s activewear line, and like the high-waisted look of the Way Home Shorts. To keep it in the lululemon family, I feel like these are worth a try to see if I can mimic the look. Except the FP Movement shorts are $30 and these are lulu prices. Joke’s on me?

The Dud: Relaxed-Fit Gathered Cropped Jacket

Gathering is generally used to accentuate someone’s figure, but somehow this manages to do the opposite. The gathering point is a bit high on the bodice, so it’s a little windbreaker meets muumuu for me. My reaction isn’t full Chrissy Teigen gif… but this could be fast tracked to WMTM if others feel the same way.
