Lululemon’s Selfcare Line is Coming This Spring

Natural beauty seems all the rage lately, and lululemon is no one to sit on the sidelines and let someone else take their piece of the pie on a lifestyle offering that their core demographic is SUPER into lately. (I’m looking at you, all you people gushing all over my instagram feed about Beautycounter.)

The Lululemon Selfcare products were first announced and test launched in Chicago & Toronto back in October. By the sounds of it, we are all going to be able to get in on the action at some point later this spring. ICYMI or have completely forgotten about it already, here’s your refresher in lulu’s new products that want to keep you, well, fresh.

Lululemon Selfcare: the Lineup

Anti Stink Deodorant

An aluminum-free spray that relies on witch hazel & zinc for bacteria/odor control and uses a macadamia nut-derived base, as opposed to silicone.

Basic Balm

Think of Basic Balm as a lululemonized Burts Bees: it’s a lip balm that contains organic beeswax, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and coconut oil.

Sweat Reset Face Moisturizer

I admit my skincare knowledge is little more advanced than a teenager that knows not to go to bed with makeup on, so I’m gonna copy pasta the explanation of this product here because maybe it means more to you than it does to me:

“We created this weightless and breathable gel moisturizer with a Tri-Active formula aimed at addressing three key athletic problems: rehydrating from loss of moisture, calming & cooling hot to touch skin and deep cleaning of sweat, dirt & oil”

and

“ElfaMoist AC works with keratin (skin protein) to keep water tightly bound in the skin resulting in hydration. Menthyl (an alternative to menthol, which can cause irritation) provides a cooling sensation. While green & brown algae work in conjunction to keep pores clean.”

…ok?

No Show Dry Shampoo

I’m lucky as a blonde that most dry shampoo hides pretty easily in my hair, but I know brunettes are none so lucky without a darker formula. Lululemon’s version claims to hide in all hair colors, using a “natural starch derived from tapioca and non-whitening rice powder” to get the job done.

I’ll be curious on the price points, I haven’t been able to find anything that lends any more detailed intel on the release date than ‘late spring’, but I have a feeling that seeing that the test market period is over, we will all be able to order these products soon.

Spray deodorant does not appeal to me, but I’m always game for a new dry shampoo, even though Drybar’s formula and I are very happy together. Oh, and lip balm. Can never have too much lip balm.

If I had to guess prices, I’m thinking they’ll want $12-18 for a lip balm and $25-35 per deodorant/shampoo/moisturizer. If anyone reads this and has seen these in said test markets – let us know what kind of $$$ these products will cost you, and more importantly, what they smell like 😂
