The Fitting Room: Honey Lemon, Golden Lime & More

Two out of the last three days, I’ve found myself out of town and doing what else to kill time? Trying piles of stuff on at lululemon, naturally. Sunday night I ended up checking out the selection in Chestnut Hill, MA and yes, it involved citrus.

Here’s what I brought it with me this go around:

Believe it or not, I didn’t buy anything. I came damn close to picking up the deep marine Swiftly, and TBH it’s likely I’ll cave in if it doesn’t sell out soon.

Easy Going Hoodie ($98) in Honey Lemon

I tried on a TTS 8 and had PLENTY of room to spare. In fact, I felt like the arm holes were a bit *too* open for my taste. The fabric is cozy but hefty, but the weight of the hood felt like it was pulling the entire shirt down in the back, thus shortening it a little in the front and unfortunately making the neck hole feel a little tight until I pulled it back into place.

Round Trip Short Sleeve ($64) in Blue Cast

TTS 8 is a tight fit, and the small piece of fabric around the neck hole is not very stretchy (read: accommodating). I suppose this may be cute on someone, but that someone isn’t me.

Cool Racerback Tank Rib ($54) in Washed French Clay

I’ve been on a CRB2 boycott since it was introduced back in 2016, and I must admit that I really liked how this tank fit. I may or may not be the same color as said tank, because it’s MAY and I’m still going out for runs in long sleeves. Mother Nature get with the program.

If the ribbed version comes out in other solid colors, I’d consider picking one up because I really did like how thick the fabric felt. I like making funny faces because I’m a cool person.

Twist It Tank ($48) in White

I have absolutely zero negative things to say about the Twist It Tank. I was worried that given how open the back was the shoulders (straps?) would fall down my arms, but when I got the tank on, I didn’t feel that way at all. Long story short, here for it. Runs true to size.

Tie Your Practice Long Sleeve Stripe ($78) in Moonwalk

Judging by how it’s styled on lululemon’s website, it’s meant to be a roomy/relaxed fit. Chestnut Hill was out of size 8, so I am actually wearing a 6 in these photos. I didn’t really love the placement of the keyhole in front.

Cates Tee ($48) in Short Serve Stripe Heathered Black White/Modern Stripe Heathered Black White

Cute shirt. Liked it. Didn’t need it. Fingers crossed it makes it to WMTM 🤞🤞

Cross It Off Tank ($58) in Faint Coral

The tag said light luon, but it honestly felt like it was run of the mill luon. A little bit heavy for sweating it out in spin class. As for the built-in bra’s support? You could lift in it. Wouldn’t jump rope in it.

Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve Crew ($78) in Deep Marine

GORGEOUS.

Fast and Free Tight II 25″ Non-Reflective Nulux ($128) in Golden Lime

Internet, I put these on for you. Not me. They’re weird, they’re sheer, and simply not my cup of tea.

On the Fly Short ($58) in Misty Merlot

I didn’t necessarily love the On the Fly Pant when I tried them on about a month ago, but I figured what the hey, maybe the shorts will change my mind. They didn’t. a TTS 10 had plenty of room to spare, which I don’t necessarily love when I’ve got shorts on.
