Time for another dose for some fitting room fun. This time, I shimmied my way into some of the new Twist Iris Flower Inspire TIGHTS, and wanted to see where the Pleat to Street Skirt would rank on the scale from cute coverage to full moon.
Inspire Tight
You what a tight fit also means? These were a bitch to get on. I run between a size 8-10 on any given day, and the store only had 8’s in stock, so I did what I had to do. Took what seemed about a bazillion years to get them on, but in reality it was probably about 20 seconds. Either way, I liked what I saw with the seams in back, but between the purple waistband, pockets and the mesh on the calves, it was just a little too much detail for me to drop a Benjamin on them. The Inspire CROPS released this week are a step in the right direction, but I’d love to see this pattern in High Times or Wunder Unders.
Pleat to Street Skirt
This is a 10, and it fit VERY generously. If you’re in between sizes, I would recommend sizing down. Another great feature is that the built-in shorts underneath are lined with silicone so that hey won’t ride up. The flippy skirt isn’t exactly my style and it was a bit too short for me to wear to corporate golf outings, but it’s still an incredibly comfortable piece. If you’re on the fence, take it into the fitting room and give it a try. You may find a new favorite.
