GREETINGS from the oven known as… Connecticut? I feel like I’ve been getting nothing but sweltering and humid weather since getting home from Colorado. Mother Nature, it’s starting to feel a bit retaliatory. This morning, I legit had my tank top rolled up before hitting a half mile, and looped back home at the mile mark to ditch it before continuing on.

It was that gross. Don’t believe every smiley post run selfie you see on the internet… this morning was walk break on walk break on walk break after rudely hitting my body with a CrossFit WOD last night.

October, can you please hurry the f*ck up and bring your 52 degree days with you?

Favorite #1: LA Pullover Crew ($108) in Watercolor Wash White/Stargaze

I sit here snug as a bug in a rug in my AC and alpine white Rogue Renegade hoodie, so I shall pass on the summer white this go around, but yeah. I appreciate that the dye job is a more subtle than other recent diamond dye releases.

Favorite #2: Love Crew Fade ($54) in Sublimado Pigment Dye Highlight Yellow

Say the name of this colourway 10x fast and I’ll give you a bag of Sour Patch Kids for your troubles. Kaleidoscope Katy has always been and will always be in attendance at the Neon Lover’s Ball.

Favorite #3: Essential Affinity Mid Rise Jogger ($128) in Dark Olive

I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is about them… but they just look more flattering than the rest of the joogers available right now. A slimmer leg? I don’t know, but it’s working.

Note: I came back to spell check this but what the hell I’m leaving it because “joogers” makes me giggle

Favorite #4: Align Jogger Crop ($88) in Incognito Camo Multi Grey

Ah, the Align Jogger Crop – the pant I didn’t understand the hype about until trying them on a whim last summer. I left the store with a pair of these that day.

I scrunch mine up over the larger part of my calf, which I personally think is a better look. I’m not a professional stylist though, I’m just a rando with a keyboard so what I do I know.

Favorite #5: Speed Up Short Long 4″ ($58) in Heritage 365 Camo Brown Earth Multi/Brown Earth

This is NOT a camo colourway I was at all expecting, but I’m digging it more at first sight than I would have been if someone said… brownie maroon camo is on its way. Everyone with an earth-toned IG aesthetic, hop on these!

I can’t even with the pink camo that’s popped up in the last few weeks, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Are we closing in on 2 years since camo became a staple in weekly uploads? Yes. But, they wouldn’t keep cranking it out if it didn’t sell.

We’ve seen Black, Green, White/Grey, Brown/Maroon, Pink… can we please just get some Blue and Eggplant Purple and then call it a day? #BringBackAeon

The Dud: Evil Corp (aka the hackers that took down Garmin)

Just in time for me to have ordered a new Garmin, it all went kaput. Things seem to back in working(ish) order. For now. TIME TO OBSESS OVER MY BODY BATTERY SCORE!

However… if this week’s Dud was going to be an item of clothing, it would be the Lemon Vibe Time to Sweat Crop because EVERYONE knows these are going to be sheer.

Not Gonna Lie

I am rather unenthused with upload this week. Really, the last few weeks. Since the sale a few weeks back, nothing is making me scream AHH I WANT THAT enough to commit to hitting the Buy button. There’s a single exception: I saw a Dark Prism Pink Pace Rival Skirt in store, but my size was sold out and it hasn’t made it online.

Lemon vibe I *do* like, but one piece of that color in my wardrobe is good. I’m not racing to hoard all the pieces that drop (hi there Wild Bluebell) in a single color.

The lulu love always ebbs and flows over the course of the year, so I’m sure I’ll be OMG-ing again soon enough when more fall styles start to rotate in.

Plus, with a new Garmin and new CrossFit shoes (RIP Inov8’s it was a solid 6.5 years)… someone ought to confiscate my AMEX for the next month or so anyway. Good thing I’m not married and have no one to answer to after the retail fun I’ve recently had. 🙈
