5 Faves & a Dud: Spring Cleaning

5 Faves & a Dudlululemon

Unhanding this bag of Goldfish crackers in order to type much faster would be the smart and efficient thing to do, but I’m not here for that tonight.

I got my schmancy new red APLs today, which were bright and fun like the San Diego sky this past weekend. Can we talk about that for a hot minute? I was was able to extend a work trip to visit one of my long time friends who now lives in SD, and let’s just say it sucked having to hop on a plane and head home.

But, I’m not here to talk about all the sweet places I went. (See what I did there?)

I’m here to talk athleisure! So, I must. Lululemon with your snoozy color palette, you’re making it difficult to feign enthusiasm on upload once again. Christmas gift card still untouched. A new record.

5 Faves & a Dud – Lululemon’s 2/27/18 Upload

Favorite #1: Free to Be Moved Bra ($68)

This price point isn’t my favorite, but I’m really intrigued by this design. I’ve always liked the FTBW in its original incarnation, but there is NO WAY I’m able to work out in one with such a thin band and forgiving straps. I’m excited to try this one on.

Favorite #2: Take it Easy Pant ($108) in black

High waist to hide the fluff, and loose everywhere else for the ultimate couch day.

And now, a musical interlude:

Favorite #3: Free to Be Bra (Wild) ($48) in Wee Are From Space Nimbus Battleship/Sunset

It’s the color combo. What I consider to be ‘classic lulu’. Old habits die hard.

Favorite #4: Cool Racerback ($42) in desert teal

Because I’m still not in the mood to teach my old wardrobe new tricks.

Favorite #5: Move With Ease Jacket ($118) in black

I’ve been feeling the cropped/fitted vibe for the past year. I’d like to give this one a try in store to see if it lands on Team Awkward or Team Adorable.

The Dud: Fold On Tote ($98)

I like structure, in most aspects of my life. That super trendy guy store in the late 90’s not so much, and okay sometimes it’s great to be a free spirit and all, but don’t be floppy. Keep it together. For me, I like bags with shape, not flop. Easy pass on this large, mesh… thing.

I wonder if I could fit a toddler in it.

SOOOOORRRRYYYYYY…

…that I’m not very wordy this evening. Upload’s not giving me much to work with! As everyone knows, last upload of the month is usually weakest.

Spring Fever

So, random side note: I’ve just come off the road for my second full week in my own home since, well, Christmas. Errands, clutter and miscellany have been piling up. Spring is attempting to poke through (seriously, winter, you can leave anytime) and I’ve found myself with a whole host of things that I want to clean up both at home, at work and even in terms of personal development.

When you’re LONG OVERDUE for a reset button on all the little things in life, what are all of your favorite life hacks to be a bit more mindful with your time? So far I’ve been trying to stick to the following:

  • Journal a little bit every day
  • Podcasts! Mainly NPR while getting ready in the morning instead of the usual silence

I think it’s helping me feel a bit more mentally clear, but I still have a long way to go. Maybe I should unpack that case of snow clothes from Aspen…

What are your favorite go to’s?

  1. What do you think of the tshirts added a couple of days ago for international women’s day?
Yay to the original crbs! Maybe, just maybe, they’re finally listening. 😉

  2. I have the Take it Easy’s in Black and heathered grey – absolutely love them…to the point I begrudge wearing other clothes lol. Ordered the navy – may never dress properly again! One heads-up to all – I’m a 34” inseam and they’re long on me.
