5 Faves & a Dud: Lululemon’s 7/4/17 Upload

5 Faves & a Dudlululemon

The 5th of July isn’t as much fun as the 4th of July. Moving a little slow today. While many of us were out consuming adult beverages and watching things festively explode in the sky, it was still Tuesday for the rest of the world, including lulu land.

5 Faves & a Dud – 7/4/17 Upload

Favorite #1: Speed Short ($58) in razzle

LW7ACES_029782_ZRazzle is looking a bit less red and a bit more boom juicy in these photos than the CRBII does, but I’m still a fan of this color. Have yet to see it in person, but I currently have no reason not to be all over it like white on rice.

Favorite #2: Run the Day Crop ($118) in black

How expensive nulux running crops are stresses me out, because I want them all. While the lack of seam in front may lead to a little bit of awkward creasing in front (if you get my drift), but I’m a fan of the double inseam. Quite nice for stretching.

Favorite #3: Energy Bra ($52) in wee are from space ice grey alpine white

I just had one of my coworkers remind me that I need a new Energy Bra like I need a hole in the head. I don’t. Not needing one doesn’t stop me from wanting this one, though.

Favorite #4: Hold Your Form Bra ($68) in black

I miss the All Sport Bra and its wonderfully comfortable wide straps. Feminine, flattering and cute as anything, I want this bra!

Favorite #5: Secret Sock ($14) in bleacher blue

Is this a cop out pick for the top 5? Maybe. Truth is, this post has been in process for about 8 hours now, because a 5th piece isn’t jumping out at me, and I friggin’ LOVE lulu’s Secret Socks.

I can’t say enough good things about how these tiny little socks don’t budge with my Converse and Vans. Ever. Just spend the $14 already.

The Dud: Sun Setter Jogger *Mesh ($98)

I was all set to give a cold shoulder to the entire cold shoulder trend, and call the Ready Set Go Short Sleeve this week’s Dud. Until I saw the MESH HAMMER PANTS.

Do I really need words to explain that these should all be packed into a box and sent directly to the outlets?

They seem like innocent joggers, until you zoom in and realize they’re see-through. No thanks, no thanks and no thanks.

Be-Razzled & Stuff

Happy to report that that CRBII wasn’t a razzle fluke. Additional offerings in this bright pinkish-red hue include:

On the much darker end of the red spectrum, dark adobe is also making a push this go around:

Looks like lulu’s also trying to cash in on the S’well bottle/YETI craze with the Refresh Hot/Cold Bottle. I’m curious if it can hold its own (and my coffee).

While you can see some more color peppered throughout the What’s New page this week, it’s also the first upload of the month, when the load is blown for the next few weeks. Nothing for me right now, if I cave it will be for the razzle Speeds.

Speaking of speed, I have to run 8 miles after work tonight, and I am NOT thrilled about it (sorry, Joanna). #wah

I also realize that not only is it late, but this is a pretty weak post overall. I’ll do better next week, I swear! 😛

  1. I too thought the razzle speeds looked a lot like boom juice. I’m planning to visit a store tomorrow, so I’ll check it out and report back.

Did you ever get the faded zap energy bra? You may not need another one, but I promise you will get TONS of wear out of that bra! Best pop of color there is!!

      1. I just saw razzle today and feel it’s a mix between boom juice and neon pink. I liked it and want to sell my boom juice speeds to fund a pair of razzle hottys. Faded zap is pretty much clear mint, just a touch less neon.

  2. I saw Razzle over the weekend and I liked it. It’s like Boom Juice’s redder cousin. Neon red? Not sure how to describe it. I’m thinking about the speeds too.
