Looks like I’m not the only one who spent a few dollars at lululemon over the weekend. I took a trip to my local store to give a few items a whirl in the fitting room, and ended up using a gift card to take home the Hill & Valley Mock Neck Crop Top (LOVE THAT THING) and the Sleet Sprinter Tight. Thanks Dad!

In the last 48 hours the Sleet Sprinter has unfortunately sold out online, but  you may still be able to find them in brick & mortar. My local store had plenty of sizes available in both blue and black on Friday afternoon.

The Sleet Sprinter Tight is meant for workout warriors who won’t let a little freezing rain get in their way. The lighter shade of black (the majority of the pant) is lulu’s softshell material, which is has some stretch yet is water resistant.

I put these on this morning and purposely splashed myself with sink water to see for myself. The water indeed beaded up and rolled off.

The side panels are a fleece-lined luxtremey material akin to the Toasty Tech Tight of years past. Each leg has a side pocket that will nicely fit an iPhone, and there’s a zip pocket in the back of the waistband. No small key pocket in the front.

While snow pummeled some of the northeast a few days ago, southern New England got nothing… so I must apologize for the dirty pile of snow. A for aesthetic effort, right?

Anyhow, I’m not sure I would have paid $128 up front for these tights, but I’m glad I tried them on. The contrast in textures and the fleece lining will keep you warm, dry and pretty badass-looking if I do say so myself. As soon as I pulled them on (they’re a bit snug, FYI), I immediately had ASPEN on the brain. Headed out there later this month, so these will definitely be part of my stylish and weatherproof lineup.
