5 Faves & a Dud: How to Spend That Holiday $$$

5 Faves & a Dudlululemon

Happy belated Boxing Day, and Merry double-belated Christmahanukwanzaakah to everyone! Raise your hand if Santa was good to you. Raise your glass if Santa was ‘good’ to your kids and brought them an annoying noisemaking toy that will. not. shut. up.

Cheers to your sanity, and a selfish toast to the single life that I live where the only robo voice I hear at home is Alexa… and homegirl knows not to speak unless spoken to. 🙂

Because lulu’s adopted the habit of mixing multiple uploads onto the What’s New page, I will admit that this week’s post may include something that the rest of you faithful lemons have already seen – I haven’t been able to pay much attention to upload(s) in recent weeks, so I’ll admit up front that I’m a bit rusty.

Caveat aside, I’m sure many of us were on the receiving end of gift cards, or even straight cash, that are burning holes in our dear pockets. If push came to shove and I had to spend it all today, here’s what be coming home to a closet near me:

5 Faves & a Dud – 12/27/16 Upload

Favorite #1: Speed Short ($58) in pow pink

‘Tis the season for black & gray EVERYTHING, so it was refreshing to see a distractingly bright flash trying to hide down on the bottom of the page. I want these to neon me. (Get it? Be on me? I crack myself up.)

Favorite #2: Speed Short ($58) in life lines polar pink black/black

For those who are much more subdued than the ones who went “squee!” upon seeing the pow pink, you can have fun shorts too.

Favorite #3: On Track Tight ($118) in heathered black/black

I spy with my out-of-practice eye some curved black detailing reminiscing of the good old lululemon from years past. I wonder if more curved seams and distinct design references to the omega will be on its way back in? One can only hope!

Favorite #4: Wunder Under Pant (Hi-Rise) Laser ($118) in luon ripple jacquard black white/black

I know for a fact that these dropped before Christmas, but…… featuring them anyway. The textured B&W pattern hides imperfections, and the color blocking along the ankles and flattering seams along the back of the leg are a throwback to the Tranquil Tight that I absolutely loved this spring. If I didn’t have the similar Tranquils, I’d be snapping these up.

Favorite #5: On Track Long Sleeve ($78) in heathered aurora

Just going to go on and sneak this one into my work wardrobe…

The Dud: Run it Out Tee ($68) in tiger space dye black white

Too much money for too little fashion. I recall buying something in tiger space dye black white earlier this year and ultimately returning it, so that’s the only reason for choosing this color over (under?) all the others.

Upload is pretty small this evening, surely everyone’s still in a retail hangover after the pre-holiday madness. Cerulean blue’s arrival a few weeks ago excited me to the point of stopping at lulu en route to the airport to grab the cerulean blue Scuba Hoodie IV. Also, the black/white gradient Swiftly LS. In and out of lulu in 4 minutes. I wish I could say that was a record for speed, but I think I may have beaten that record back in May or so… marginally. Woman on a mission, it’s ME!

Given that the bench isn’t too deep on upload tonight, I won’t go into detail on the other offerings tonight. While work has stretched me pretty thin lately, I wanted to write something up to say hi and hope everyone’s been having a wonderful holiday season!

For those eagerly saying good riddance to 2016 on its way out the door, I’m with ya. RIP Princess Leia.
