Yo dawg, I heard you like vacation so how about you take a vacation when you get back from your vacation so that you can rest up and take a vacation from your vacation.
Because if Seawheeze & Bryce weren’t enough, let’s flip from blue to red back to blue scenery again and spend a weekend up at my uncle’s place up on Cape Cod. 5-day work week? What’s that? September is going to be quite the rude awakening.
Also, it took finding the option at a cute little bakery on the Cape (hi Woolfie’s!) to offer it as an extra $1 option on their coffee menu, but I finally experienced and was motivated to make my own damn coffee ice cubes this week. Game changer.
The large button on the keurig makes one full tray of cubes. Just sayin’.
HEADS UP: I’m playing in a golf tournament on Thursday. WMTM Alert is not gonna happen. Will be too busy chasing a tiny ball into and out of the woods with a metal stick.

Favorite #1: Namastay Put Hipster ($18) in mini antique paisley white black
PAISLEY UNDERPANTS. I should just drop the curtain and stop right here because these are the best of this week’s lot. Told myself I was going on a post-SW lulu hiatus, but for $18 I’ll buy myself 2 less cocktails this month and happily dance in the mirror in solitude at home in these. Because paisley underpants.
Favorite #2: Baller Hat Softshell ($38) in black/dark carbon/black
Argh, this is just so REASONABLE of a purchase. Textured dark gray makes me happy. Dammit, lululemon! You’re making it really tough to keep things under control. Seriously, look at the look on the model’s face. She’s mocking me. She KNOWS I’m not going to be able to hold it together and I’m going to buy this hat.
Favorite #3: Swiftly Tech LS Crew ($78) in black/sapphire blue
Did they forget the Ohio warehouse even existed? So many recycled color schemes. Here we have ANOTHER redux from last winter, but I’m going to allow it. Why? Because this was one of my top 3 purchases all last season, and I’d always wear it the minute the laundry was finished.
Here’s my taking a bunch of dumb selfies in said shirt on a particularly bored afternoon in a random hotel room on a random business trip. Every time that bachelor lens comes around… I just can’t help myself. Sometimes I read books about neuropsychology. Sometimes I take photos of myself with fake mascara running down my face. It’s what I call balance.
Favorite #4: Outrun Tight ($118) in black
A fan of the new Outrun 17″ Crop, I have no reason to believe that the tights won’t kick ass too. While some may not like the extra layers forming the double side pocket for the summer heat, these will be a great addition to a fall runner’s wardrobe.
With a similar mesh lower-leg look to the Inspire Tight, I wonder if that means the Inspires are following their cropped brethren to the retirement home.
Plus, the ruching in the rear. Flattering!
Favorite #5: Love Tee Short Sleeve Crew ($58) in heathered emperor blue

The Dud: My attention span.
Hey look, there’s nothing terribly horribly no good very bad and jumping out at me this week. I already learned last year that (half and) marathoners actually find arm warmers useful, so I can’t knock ’em until I try them. I gots nothing.
The US Open is on TV. I think I’ll go watch that now.
As a matter of fact, I think I’ll go watch that in person tomorrow. I should call my Dad and figure that whole ‘plan’ thing out.
Go make yourself some coffee ice cubes while the weather is stupid hot out, we’ll all be cozying up in scarves before we know it. 🙂

I kind of like that crazy scarf/wrap/poncho thing. As someone whose always cold at work, I wonder if I could wear that and my usual all black 😉

I really like some of the pants- especially because they’re yarn dyed, those are always the best because they don’t fade and hold up so nicely. I also liked the purple SS swiftly, and i hope that paisely comes out in some more pieces! going to check out everything at my store tonight.

Have you tried the Namastay Put Hipsters yet?? You got me onto the Light as Air Hipsters right before they discontinued them (thanks for that! haha :P) and have been scared to try the Namastay Puts based on the terrible reviews they have been getting – specifically by people who loved the Light as Airs. I’m curious what you think of them (if you’ve tried them!). Did you find them similar to the Light as Air and TTS? Any help would be appreciated!!
At risk of TMI, wearing them RIGHT NOW!
Only a few noticeable differences between these and the Light as Air. The waistband is slightly more snug, there is less coverage in back, and the fabric isn’t that nice slippery variety that the Light as Air made of. While I definitely prefer the LAA, I’m warming up to the the Namastay Put as an acceptable replacement.

Super comfy, breathable and sweat wicking, no VPL. Zobha has sales all the damn time too, so I got mine for $12 a pair shipped!

I have tried them! I actually just ordered 4 more in the last 40% sale…whoopsie! I do like the Zobha but do prefer my Light as Airs. I may have to just bite the bullet and try the Namastay Puts. The nami wave pipe dream blue and paisley color ways are calling my name 😬
